If you haven’t been able to tell so far, Looxi Beauty has become an obsession of mine. Their shimmer shadows are just on another level. They offer gorgeous pigmentation at an incredible price with great customer service. Not sure what else I could ask for! I’ve purchased a few more shadows to review for you guys this time around. Read on for more!
First off, I want to apologize for not getting sharing pictures of the shadows in brand new condition. I photographed them earlier this week, but waited to upload them to my computer. A few days later I went to upload new pictures from my memory card to my computer and my memory card tried to play me and act like it had no pictures on it! By this time, I had already begun using the shadows so I had to settle for reshooting pics of the used shadows. My apologies!
At least now you can see how much I’ve been digging into these in the span of a week!
If you haven’t read my previous posts about Looxi Beauty products, I would encourage you to take a look at them if you are interested in swatches and reviews of more shades.
Now on to the review of these particular shades: Nirvana, Pennywise, Latte, Georgia on My Mind, and Pharaoh.
I will start with Pharaoh and go left to right based on the swatches in the above photo! Pharaoh is the only matte I purchased this go ’round. I’m constantly searching for brick reddish-brown matte shades because those are my favorite transition shades for my skin tone, especially when I do warm eye looks (which is most of the time). I was very pleased with Pharaoh’s pigmentation and wear! It’s a tad bit redder than my skin tone, so it takes a few layers to show up against my skin, but even with all the layers, it doesn’t feel chunky or cakey on my eye.I purchased Georgia on My Mind PURELY for the name. I’m from Georgia so the hallelujah choir in my head went off when I saw the shade name! This shade is more of a golden peach color. It’s not too light that I can’t use it for a lid color, but I’d probably get the most wear out of it by using it on my inner corner of the inner third of my eye. I’ll probably be using this more in the spring time.
On to Nirvana, my favorite from the batch. This shade is a duochrome that’s got some blue, pink, and brown and colors I can’t even distinguish in there! To get the best coverage out of this shade, use it over a cream base. That technique will alter the color to bring out whatever shade is underneath. I choose to layer it over a black base on my lid and pair it with a deep purple crease for the look below. If you are interested in more details from that look, check out my fall grunge and glam post.
Next up is Pennywise which is the copperiest copper ever! What you see is what you get with this one. It’s not trying to play eye tricks on you! This shade is perfect for fall and I thoroughly recommend sweeping it all over you eye lid, throwing on some dark red lipstick and mascara and walking out the door! It blends like a dream so you can make it as bright and bold or as muted as you want.Lastly, we have Latte. This shade is more of a brownish gray – exactly what you would expect of shade named Latte. It looks like a latte after you have stirred in some extra milk. Imagine that, but them imagine putting that in eyeshadow form and adding shimmer! Interesting, right!? I’m not really sure how I am going to use this one right now, but I’m sure I will figure it out soon.
With fall coming, scratch that, HERE, I’m moving my looks from fresh and minimal to dark and vampy. The cooler months are here and I’m so happy! Be on the lookout for some awesome looks coming with these shadows.

I stumbled upon your page while searching for Looxi swatches. That is a stunning eye look you’ve created! I wonder how that would translate on someone fair with intense red hair and pink undertones? Probably not as beautiful as it is on you. Sigh…
Thank you so much! I’m sure this look would be beautiful on your as well! I’d suggest skipping the black cream base on your eyelids and instead just let Nirvana take the center of attention! It’s semi duo chrome so it will react differently (but just as beautiful) on your skin tone!
