This past weekend I attended The Makeup Show Dallas at the Hyatt Regency Downtown! I was blessed to be able to attend the press / blogger preview and receive a bangin’ goodie bag full of pro makeup artist James Vincent’s favorite products. If you are interested in seeing what I was gifted (+ what I purchased), keep reading!
I have been waiting MONTHS for The Makeup Show to come to Texas! One of the first things I looked up when I moved to Texas was the beauty conference schedule – no lie! That’s one of the benefits of this new state compared to Georgia which had very few non-industry events. I’m incredibly excited to have the opportunity to attend events like The Makeup Show that are so close to home.
With that being said, I arrived to in Dallas on Friday afternoon to give myself some time to relax before the show started on Saturday morning. I had the chance to be one of the ‘cool kids’ for the day and attend the blogger preview on Saturday morning. That’s the hour and a half where all you have to do is sit and be mesmerized by the presence that is pro MUA and Director of Education for The Makeup Show James Vincent! James has a ton of experience under his belt – apprentice to Kevyn Aucoin, dozens of Fashion Weeks, and the famous Amy Winehouse winged liner just to name a few. He walked us through the new releases at the show like the Smashbox Be Legendary lipsticks and Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge range.
Being invited to the press preview means you get the goodie bag of all goodie bags with a ton of James’ favorite backstage must haves in a huge bag that changes as the show’s sponsors change (this year the bag was a black cloth bag from MUFE). I’ll share with you what I received in that bag PLUS the items I purchased myself from the many vendors in attendance. I went into this show not wanting a ton of stuff, but I did grab a handful of items.
