SCREAMING REAL HOT GIRL SH*T!
Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way and established this is a safe space for ALL hotties, I’m so excited to bring you a review of Megan Thee Stallion’s makeup collaboration with Revlon! I definitely screamed when I opened this PR package so shout out Revlon for making ya girl’s LIFE by send me these gorgeous products to play with. My package included mascaras, eyeliners, an eyeshadow palete. I was especially stoked to get into this eye pallet because I’ve had the opportunity to explore some of Revlon’s eyeshadow formulas in their Summer Soundoff collection and was super impressed. Well I was not let down by the Big Bad Palette this go round.
I’ll focus mostly on the palette from this collection since I’ve reviewed the Chrome Ink liners previously which you can view here. The short of it is the palette is a great little find for under $15. The long of it is that I was shocked at the color payoff, but I should have known better because the tiny Summer Soundoff palettes were great quality as well. However, a majority of these shades were straight up shimmers with tiny glitter particles just dying to break through the top layer and party with Meg on any given night (and if I’m honest, so am I). There are only two mattes in the ten pan palette so this was really made for a night out. You will want to grab this for night times and special occasions and it has the color diversity to compliment a variety of occasions. The left side leans into traditional fall tones – warm reds, browns, bronzes. Grab your PSL and you are ready to go! But the right side really threw me off a little because it was so cool and had a bright purple and royal blue and then a duo of a bold silver and a lavender gunmetal shade.
Me being the queen of the warm tones obviously ran straight to that shimmery gunmetal and slathered it all over my crease! And boy was it worth it – I looked exactly like the disco ball I aspired to be. I mixed the lighter silver and the glitter black from the left side to create the ultimate NYE eye look. I will definitely be using this for a night out.
I was feeling the “over-the-top-ness” of it all so much that I added some silver glitter to my inner third to really kick it up a notch. Why not? Even though a majority of these shades went beyond just shimmer and probably had glitter in them, they were still very easy to work with and apply. I was really impressed with the blendability of all but especially the black. It was black enough that it worked to deepen my outer corners, but if you want to really smoke out your lash line or something like that you might want to add in a different matte black from your collection.
I would definitely recommend this palette to those looking to play around in some more intense shade selections or those looking for a one stop shop for a night out eye look. You could even use the larger pan gold and bronze shades as highlighters to create a multipurpose palette. Such a fan of the color selection and layout here. This one is winner, hotties!
