After lusting over the gorgeousness of the Summer 2016 mini lipgloss kit from Anastasia Beverly Hills, I jumped on the fall release the second it appeared on the ABH site! This set of six is perfect for the gloss lover who doesn’t want to be confined by just a few colors (the price is the equivalent of less than two full size glosses). After swatching, I’m ready to give you the low-down of my first impression below!

Review: Beauty Escape Cosmetics Highlighters
In my humble opinion, indie brands are far surpassing higher end / mass produced highlighters this year. So much so, that I have only purchased one highlighter from a large brand THIS ENTIRE YEAR (two if you count the Becca x Jaclyn Champagnge Pop face palette). One of my newly discovered fav brands from Etsy is Beauty Escape Cosmetics and they have a range of shades formulated specifically for deep skintones. If you are interested in seeing how my newest three highlighters performed, keep reading!
First Impression: Anastasia Beverly Hills Sun Dipped Glow Kit ‘Bronzed’
Anastasia Beverly Hills’ Glow Kits are all the rage this summer. She promised a glowing summer and the Glow Kits sure did deliver! I currently own ‘That Glow’ and ‘Sweets’ and have been back and forth with myself on whether to purchase ‘Sun Dipped’. While I really loved the kit, I felt like ‘That Glow’ covered all my bronze goddess needs. But then my girl Tiny hooked me up with the only color in the kit that I HAD to have – Bronzed – and I was golden! Want to see what it looked like on me? Keep reading for a blinding swatch!
First Impression: e.l.f. Cosmetics x Jackie Aina Eye Palette “J Glow”

This super compact, travel-ready palette is packed with some unexpected colors that are meant to inspire your inner *J.GLOW*. Want to see my first impression and swatches? Keep scrolling!
Get The Look: Kylie Jenner Cosmetics Kyshsadow ‘The Bronze Palette’ Dupes for Brown Skin
You may or may not have an opinion about the Kardashian / Jenner clan, but that girl Kylie Jenner knows how to move some makeup! Her first #Kyshadow eyeshadow palette sold out online in ONE MINUTE after being announced less than 24 hours earlier! I’m really not a fan of this particular palette as it is definitely made with fairer skin in mind – most of the shades would make me appear washed out. So I decided to dupe it with some shades that are similar, but a tad more brown girl friendly. Keep reading for swatches!Continue Reading

Skincare Series: Welcome to my new blog series!
#NEWSERIESALERT The number one comment on my Instagram pictures is always about my skin! How do I keep it clear? Do I do anything special? What do I use on my face? How often do I exfoliate? And the list continues. So I thought I would keep a running total of my skincare escapades on my blog to chronicle the best (and worst) products I have tried in an attempt to maintain the most clear skin possible. Welcome to Spence’s Skincare Series!
First Impression: Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit ‘Sweets’
Beauty powerhouse Anastasia Beverly Hills just released her fourth and fifth Glow Kits last week to a bunch of frenzied beauty fanatics who bought them up like hotcakes! I purchased the ‘Sweets’ Glow Kit and I’m definitely loving it, but I can’t help but compare several of the shades to a few already in my collection. Is it worth the buy? Or can you get away with ‘the look for less’? Read on to find out!
First Impression: Tarte Cosmetics x MakeupShayla Tarteist Contour Palette
I typically don’t purchase from Tarte Cosmetics because they rarely create base shades that match my skintone. Some of their formulas are to die for, but if I can’t find foundation to match my skin, what’s the point? I was so excited when they announced their collaboration with makeup artist and beauty guru @makeupshayla: a contour palette for medium/dark skintones. I was super intrigued so I purchased it and now that I’ve had a chance to swatch, I wanted to share my initial thoughts with you guys. Keep reading for more!Continue Reading
