Here are the detailed makeup deets for this entire look if you are looking for something rustic and fall-ish!
I got the opportunity to test out some pretty amazing new products from Looxi Beauty over the weekend! If you are a fan of making sure your highlight is forever on fleek, you might want to pay extra special attention to the new product from Looxi called ‘Kickers’ which will kick your highlight out of this world!
If you haven’t been able to tell so far, Looxi Beauty has become an obsession of mine. Their shimmer shadows are just on another level. They offer gorgeous pigmentation at an incredible price with great customer service. Not sure what else I could ask for! I’ve purchased a few more shadows to review for you guys this time around. Read on for more!
Stick your finger in a Looxi Beauty shadow or highlight and it’s like you have just pinched off a tiny bit of a cloud. Too dramatic? Sorry, not sorry! The formula is so soft even the lightest touch of your brush will pick up more than enough product to keep you glowing all day. I recently received one of their newest highlighters in ‘Divine’ and it is truly, divine. Keep reading to find out more!
I got some more eyeshadows and some brand new highlighter shades to share with you guys from my newest brand obsession, Looxi Beauty! Looxi has some of the best quality shadows for only $5 each! And there may or may not be a dupe for Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Pop in here somewhere too! So I suggest you keep reading ; )
To me, nothing says fall quite like pumpkins. The idea of pumpkin farms, Halloween pumpkin carving, pumpkin pie, and Pumpkin Spice Lattes from Starbucks make my little heart flutter! My first eyeshadow pick for fall screams ‘PUMPKIN’! This shade has some shimmer in it so it would be great as a lid or inner corner color. Coastal Scents, $1.95

This matte navy blue shade will up your smokey eye game to a 1000! Instead of black, which can still be a bit harsh for balmy autumn nights, try a dark blue lid color instead. You can always add a bit of black on the outer colors to further deepen the color. Or try a black eyeshadow base to make the color pop. My personal favorite is also from NYX.
NYX Cosmetics, $4.50 |
Make them green with envy when you walk by in this shimmery moss green shadow! This color is from one of my favorite eyeshadow palettes from celebrity makeup artist Pati Dubroff. This shade is especially gorgeous on hazel or dark brown eyes. Pair this with a bit of gold shadow in your inner corner and you are set for the night! Amazon, $19.75

Of course I was going to add a copper shadow to this list, DUH! I absolutely love this one by MAC which I got a few months ago. Not only is the formula super smooth, but it is buildable. You can apply a little bit of product for a subtle glow on your lid, or you can pack it on for an intense bright copper finish. MAC Cosmetics, $16

If you are looking for the most bang for your buck, look no further than Looxi Beauty ‘Urbane’! The pigmentation of this shadow is out of this world amazing. It is a dusty gold with a bit of a green undertone. You don’t have to use much to make a statement. This shade is especially beautiful in dim light so pull it out for date night! Looxi Beauty, $5

My love for mineral pigments knows no bounds! Pure pigments like ‘Tempura’ from Ultimo Cosmetics offer the most intense color payoff out of all the shades on this list. I’ve worn this shade over a black eyeshadow base to a concert and it didn’t budge during a night filled with dancing and singing along at the top of my lungs. ‘Tempura’ can hang, honey! Jenny’s Mineral Shack, $4.88

If you aren’t as comfortable with colorful eyeshadow as I am, you will look beautiful (and still be in your comfort zone) with this peachy, golden shimmer from ColourPop Cosmetics and YouTube beauty vlogger KathleenLights. You really can’t go wrong with a shade like this during any time of the year, but there is something about gold in fall that makes it feel more appropriate. This shadow is sold in a set of four colors developed by KathleenLights for ColourPop. ColourPop, $20

There is no way this list would be complete without a smokey matte black! I’ve picked one of my go-to black shades that will add another layer of sultriness to any of the other shadows on this list. Of course you can hit the town with a traditional smokey eye, but you can also add a tiny bit of this to the outer corner of your eye look to take it from day to night. This black has medium pigmentation so you can build up the darkness of your lid to your comfort level. Milani Cosmetics, $3.99

Looxi Beauty caught my eye with their shimmer eyeshadows.
And these aren’t just any shimmer shadows, some of them are duochrome. And I loooooove my duochromes!
I’ve been searching for more single duochrome shadows since Kat Von D pulled her Shape Shifter shadows from Sephora stores. I have a couple of palettes with one or two duochromes each along with several MAC pigments, but those are so expensive. I need my ‘drugstore price’ fix sometimes! After diving head first into the land of ColourPop Cosmetics ($5, have you tried Kindness!? Gawdddddd it’s beautiful!) and Ultimo Cosmetics ($1, you guys should know how I feel about these beautifies if you are a consistent reader of my blog), I have been more accepting of duochrome colors and colorful shadows in general.
So I’m here today to show you four gorgeous shadows from Looxi that will make your day! The shadows come in standard-size single, magnetized pans so you will need a Z Palette or something similar to store these.
I surprised myself at how much I was drawn to Pistol Whipped. I don’t own any shadows in the silver family so this purchase was really outta left field for me! But it looked so pretty in the product shots that it somehow found its way into my cart at checkout.
As much as I loved this color, it had some problems staying put on my lid. I used a black base when I applied it the first time and a regular eyeshadow primer the second time I wore it, and both times the color faded in the middle of my lids and my natural oils peeked out. The color stayed fine on the inner and outer corners so I’m not sure if its just not compatible with my lids or what. The second time I used it, I really packed on the color to try and work around the problem, but it still happened. If you have oily lids, you might want to stay away from this one.
Finally, I just want to point out a quick comparison I saw when I opened Urbane. I received Urbane as part of a ‘Buy Three, Get One’ promotion so it wasn’t one I originally picked out to purchase. I don’t think I would have gone for it on my own, but who knows, I may have gotten around to it.
Urbane is a gold with an olive shift. It’s more of a metallic shadow than a shimmer and the pigmentation is insane! When I received the Anastasia Beverly Hills Shadow Couture palette, the color ‘Metallic’ looked similar, but it actually swatched a lot lighter and of course without the shift making Urbane color truly unique in my collection.
If you are looking for some quality shadows to switch up your everyday neutral game on a budget, I would tell you to look up some options at Looxi. For $5, you really can’t beat the price for the quality. Their crazy color selection might be intimidating to some makeup lovers, but you can always use as little or as much as you want. You can experiment all you want for $5!
