Sometimes you find those lipstick formulas that just warm your heart the second you twist up the tube. That’s how my heart feels when I get a new tube of original formula lipstick from Bite Beauty. Deliciously scented like an evergreen ready for Christmas and extraordinarily smooth during application, I’m already a big fan. Keep reading for more details and pictures! Continue Reading

Get The Look: How to cover up dark spots and fake a clear complexion

This is a LONG overdue post on my blog and I’m sorry it’s taken me this long to get to it! I decided to film a quick video showing you how I conceal my dark spots, acne scars, hyperpigmentation, and general discoloration. Sorry in advance about the lighting – still getting my makeup room set-up in my new apartment just right! Hopefully I’ll be able to get some proper lighting in here soon.

Review: Keep your skin soft this winter with Premier Dead Sea Minerals!

Last weekend, the East Coast of the U.S. experienced a reminder that it was still winter! Even over the holidays, most places were experiencing 60+ degree weather, but last Friday, Snowpocalypse 2016 hit areas like Washington D.C. (three-feet in some places!) It was definitely a reminder that we cannot be caught without our winter essentials. Don’t let dry skin creep up on you this winter! Keep your skin super soft with Premier Dead Sea Minerals! Continue Reading

Life Update: I’ve Moved!

Where in the world have I been!? Well, I’ve been moving from the East Coast to smack in the middle of the country! A couple of big life changes have happened for me in the last month! I got a new job in Austin, Texas so I moved from Atlanta, Georgia to Austin two weeks ago. I had a short amount of time to get packed up and get out here to start my new job as quickly as possible.

I appreciate you guys working with me as I don’t have a ton of free time right now to blog. I’m about half-way moved in to my new apartment and will be getting a majority of my items moved in next week. Also, with the holidays creeping up on me, I’ve got plans to ramp up posting again after January 1, 2016. I cannot believe it is nearly 2016! Where has the year gone!?

I’ll still be blogging sporadically for the next two weeks, but you can always catch up with me on Instagram where I’ll drop a majority of my updates.

Again, I appreciate y’all working with me! It’s almost my one year blogaversary and we know what that means … GIVEAWAY! Let me know what you guys want to see in the giveaway in the comments below and I’ll try and make sure something special comes your way soon. Smooches!

Get The Look: Top 8 Lipsticks for Winter

Just because winter is here doesn’t mean you can’t rock a nice pale pink! MAC Mehr has a subtle blue undertone which not only makes your teeth appear whiter, but the cool tones make it appropriate for cool weather. MAC, $17.

This liquid lipstick from one of my favorite indie brands, Glitter Elixirs, is the perfect mix between a drying liquid lipstick and a traditional moisturizing satin lipstick! It applies evenly and dries comfortably on the lips. This shade goes perfect with neutral eyeshadow and lots of mascara. Glitter Elixirs, $11.95.
This work appropriate beauty delivers a nice satin finish that keeps the lips moisturized throughout the day. On me, it is super close to my natural skin color. I love Bite Beauty’s formula, it is probably my favorite lipstick formula ever! Bite Beauty, $24.

Everyone needs a brick red like MAC Cosmetics Viva Glam 1! This matte formula is just rusty enough to help you transition from a fall lip to a winter lip. And, as with all Viva Glam purchases, 100% of the proceeds go towards helping people living with HIV/AIDS. MAC, $17.
My all-time favorite deep lipstick, MAC Living Legend is just intensity in a lipstick tube! The deep reddish-brown tone really makes a statement against my skintone. This shade was a limited edition release in 2014, but you can find a similar depth in NARS Train Bleu Velvet Matte Lip Pencil. Sephora, $24.
I purchased this because I saw Shaaanxo wearing it and I had to have it! It looks beautiful on a variety of different skintones and since it is a Patentpolish, application is a breeze! MAC, $20.
My most recent lipstick purchase is this deep neutral from MAC that has been constantly on my lips for about a week. It has a creme finish and offers a ‘my-lips-but-better’ finish. Check out the shade on my lips! MAC, $17.

This list wouldn’t be complete without the standout holiday shade: red! The full size Marc Jacobs Le Marc Lip Creme in ‘So Rouge’ is limited to Sephora VIB Rouge members, but if you can snag it you should! New VIB Rouge members receive a deluxe sample size of this shade and you can get one on eBay for about $10. Sephora, $30.
